Job Summary/Overview

Location: MONTERREY MEXICO PLANT

Position Overview:  Assist Controller with analysis, preparation and reporting of company financial data.  Participates and supports Continuous Improvement Initiatives.   Responsible for Cycle Count Program including supervision of cycle counters and compliance with all related policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile periodic reports from information calculated or obtained from the CMCO Business System.  Including but not limited to shipments, productivity, and departmental expenses.
  • Performs daily, monthly, and annual accounting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions in compliance with company policies.
  • Performs analysis of financial data as assigned and reviews with Division Controller. 
  • Prepares monthly margin analysis reports by product.
  • Reviews and updates current and standard costs.
  • Responsible for maintaining fixed assets and reconciliation to ledger.
  • Assist with monthly & annual closings and reporting,
  • Support to get the operating plan and year end close and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Experience in standard cost-manufacturing environment. 
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of SAP, Blackline, HFM-SmartView, and ADP preferred.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents. 
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience
