Job Summary/Overview

Location: Monterrey, Mexico.

Position Overview:  Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist works independently as well as collaboratively with others to support and administer employee engagement, talent acquisition, and activities that support HR in the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruitment support for MX positions
  • Pre-employment verifications
  • Interview plant floor candidates
  • HRIS job offers/req approvals
  • HRIS employment updates/new hire entries/compensation changes
  • Personnel file management
  • New hire orientation for all employees
  • Employee support as needed, walk up questions
  • Facilitate employee training and tracking of completion of online corporate training
  • Assist in organizing and promoting company sponsored employee events, service award program, community activities, etc. 
  • Managing uniform program and locker assignments
  • Issue and terminate facility badges
  • Review payroll hours and submit for processing
  • Manage outgoing and incoming mail
  • Coordinate visitor transportation and accommodations
  • Setting up meeting room, ordering of food and amenities for visitors
  • Manage new employee drug testing process (test onsite and certify)

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Advanced in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ year experience in HR function
