Job Summary/Overview

To efficiently set up and operate various machines such as Vertical Mill, Horizontal Mill, Traditional Lathe, Turret Lathe, Automatic Broach, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Produce, repair, and modify precision parts through verbal instruction and 3D modeling software while using multiple different machines.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Measurement skills including but not limited to using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to apply concepts used in fabrication, production, and inventory. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in conjunction with a tape measure.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop orders, blueprints, and procedures.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Comply with company rules, policies, and safety/environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ year(s) relevant experience
