Order Entry Specialist

Job Summary/Overview

The Order Entry Specialist (OES) is primarily responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) by entering orders, confirming pricing, and bringing customer account information up to date. The OES prepares purchase orders for entry into the ERP system by confirming contact name, address, part numbers and pricing. After reviewing orders for deficiencies, the OES inputs orders into the ERP System. Order entry is a semi-customer facing position. The OES communicates with internal and external customers using the phone, email, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The OES is key to the manufacturing process, they are the initial phase of purchasing and manufacturing. By entering the order accurately and efficiently all other functions gain a higher probability of success to meet Customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verifies entered customer and account information.
  • Enter orders for parts and standard conveyors.
  • Maintains and utilizes CRM tool for case management.
  • Assists with reporting, processing RMA forms, and miscellaneous Client Services tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • A team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities to reflect changing needs or job demands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management & ERP software is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical School or in process/uncompleted Engineering degree
  • 1+ year prior experience in a data entry, cashier or customer facing role preferred.
  • English – Intermediate, able to read/write/speak
