Job Summary/Overview

The Order Entry Specialist (OES) is primarily responsible for managing the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) by entering orders and bringing customer account information up to date. The OES prepares purchase orders for entry into the ERP system by confirming contact name, company address, part numbers, and pricing. Order entry is a semi-customer facing position. The OES communicates with internal and external customers via email, phone, and Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM) providing timely follow-up and ensuring high standards of customer service. This position plays a key role in the operational and manufacturing chain, ensuring an efficient flow from order receipt to proper execution. By entering the order accurately, all other functions gain a higher probability of success to meet customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verifies entered customer and account information.
  • Enter orders in ERP system for parts, standard and ETO conveyors.
  • CRM tool management for cases follow-up and resolution.
  • Assists with reporting and miscellaneous Client Services tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities to reflect changing needs or job demands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management & ERP software is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical School and/or in process Engineering degree
  • 1+ year prior experience in a data entry, cashier or customer facing role preferred.
  • English – Proficient Level - Able to write/read/speak
