Job Summary/Overview

Position: Metrologist    Location: Monterrey

 

Position Overview:  The Metrologist is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing of products, recording and analyzing measurement results gathered during product development and production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain inspection reports
  • Ensure compliance to company standards and specifications
  • Maintain and document calibration of quality control equipment
  • Perform inspections across all stages of production
  • Prepare and maintain test data for review
  • Evaluate data and draft reports, analize any relevant deviations from existing standards
  • Works with Materials/Purchasing Department to assure acceptable supplier quality and delivery, with manufacturing to assure acceptable process quality and with NDP Engineering to assure acceptable product specs.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • 2 + years of CMM programming and operation experience
  • 5 + years in metal-mechanical industries
