Job Summary/Overview
This role is responsible for various roles including, but not limited to general maintenance, as well as, the assembly, testing, painting, machining of parts, and general stocking duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Required to perform bench operations such as filing, cutting, chipping, deburring, drilling, tapping, and reaming.
- Required to perform a variety of mechanical and electrical assembly operations to assemble small and medium sized products. Operations may involve wire cutting, spicing, soldering, crimping, or like operations.
- Required to move materials by hand, hand truck or overhead lifting devices when pertaining to own work to any location in the facility as designated by the supervisor.
- Required to paint- Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer, using spray gun.
- Perform some manual machining.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
- Must be able to work from assembly blueprints and electrical diagrams.
- Must be capable of using all types of hand and power driven tools.
- Must be able to operate a variety of machines such as drill press, hydraulic press, and pedestal grinder.
- Must be able to make minor adjustments to parts.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as rules, scales, square, tape, volt and ammeter, etc.
- Required to produce a quality part.
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Skilled in the assembly of machined parts.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with 2 – 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
