Job Summary/Overview

The Administrator, Salesforce is a varied business facing role with responsibility for implementing, maintaining, and designing custom applications.  This role will also work on user tickets to correct bugs, configure and deliver system enhancements, and improve the user experience.  The Administrator, Salesforce is also responsible to help drive the system roadmap and user adoption.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flows, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, Email-to-Case, templates, reports, and dashboards
  • Design, test and develop the custom applications with Apex, Lightning Web Component, and Visualforce pages
  • Provide user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules
  • Support user tickets to correct bugs and monitor/improve user experience.
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, Optimizer, and Sandbox environment management, including periodic refreshing of sandboxes.
  • Data management activities to improve data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed. Importing of data into core objects such as accounts, contacts, leads, etc.
  • Management of integrated applications and third-party suppliers including ETL/iPaaS software and App Exchange vendors.  Experience connecting Salesforce to external systems and databases, Salesforce Inspector, and Salesforce Data Loader
  • Participate in Steering Committee meetings to help drive system roadmap, identify priorities, and drive user adoption.
  • Participate in and/or run discovery sessions with key stakeholders to gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
  • Proactive review and preparation for upcoming releases.  Identify unused or underutilized platform features.
  • Communication of platform changes to users and stakeholders through use of In-App Guidance walkthroughs, emails, demonstrations, team meetings, etc.
     

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • A proactive attitude to platform enhancements with a proven record of delivering quality custom Salesforce solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for translating requirements into scalable, best practice solutions 
  • Proficient with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce API
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security concepts
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in change management, governance, and technical documentation
  • Occasional time/schedule flexibility to meet with users in different countries – accommodating a variety of different time zones (i.e., early morning, evenings)
  • Demonstrates continued personal/professional development 
  • Stays up to date in the Salesforce community by being active in user groups, forums, etc.
  • DevOps/Release management experience
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification 
  • Strong Salesforce product knowledge
  • 3+ years of Salesforce administration hands-on experience with Sales and Service Cloud platforms
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce certifications – i.e., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder
  • Marketing Automation (Pardot) experience preferred 
  • Einstein AI (Artificial Intelligence) features experience preferred
  • Translation Workbench experience preferred
