Job Summary/Overview
The Senior Analyst, Tax reports to the Senior Manager, Tax. This role will be based at Columbus McKinnon Corporation global headquarters with a hybrid work schedule. The Senior Analyst, Tax will support various income tax functions including tax compliance, tax provision computations, and tax planning initiatives. The Senior Analyst, Tax will be a key member of the tax department as the Company continues to grow and evolve
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In-house preparation, in OneSource Income Tax software, of the consolidated group’s US federal and state income tax filings
- Assist with the preparation, in OneSource Tax Provision, of the interim and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Prepare supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
- Aid in foreign informational reporting (Forms 5471, 8858)
- Assist with tax research including analysis of new tax laws and the potential impact on the Company.
- Correspond with the IRS and state departments of revenue regarding notices and audits
- Collaborate with global business unit controllers to obtain then analyze relevant tax data
- Actively participate in the building of a professional, proactive, responsive, technically strong tax organization
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of US Federal and State income taxes and accounting for income taxes
- Strong computer and data analysis skills. Proficient with excel. Experience with tax research tools or corporate income tax preparation software, specifically OneSource, is preferred.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Analytics required
- Master’s in Tax or Accounting required
- CPA preferred
- 2+ years of full-time corporate tax experience
Compensation
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in incentive plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
