Job Summary/Overview

The Student Associate, Accounting will assist the corporate accounting team with account reconciliations, month end closing procedures, global consolidation, SEC and management reporting, and other related tasks.  This role is intended for students that want to work part-time while in school for several semesters to gain experience while in obtaining their degree in Accounting.  This part time role comes with paid time off and some paid holidays.  The Student Associate, Accounting will work in Getzville, NY with the opportunity for hybrid work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the completion of several monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. 
  • Prepare timely and accurate journal entries with the guidance of the corporate accounting team. 
  • Assist the consolidation team with CMCO’s worldwide financial statement consolidation.
  • Assist in the preparation of various management reports and our external financial statements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, sophomore or junior year preferred.
  • Work 15+ hours a week during school semesters.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel

Compensation

  • $18.00/hour + Benefits
  • Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in incentive plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
