Job Summary/Overview

The Engineer, Mechanical provides engineering support to the application of special and some standard products. This position is responsible for engineering complex specialty orders as well as standard and documentation of engineered products.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • ​​​​​​Engineer complex special products/systems using computer-aided design (CAD). 
  • Act as a technical resource to internal teams, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems.  
  • Mechanical lead, maintaining design and component consistency throughout the project. 
  • Draft and detail individual parts.  
  • Prototype design, development, test, and evaluate. 
  • Coordinate with the Sales Team on the project details.  
  • Support the manufacturing and assembly process. 
  • Support the sales of standard and special products. Provide proposal drawings and approval drawings. 
  • Propose projects that improve, augment, reduce costs or in other ways modify standard product lines. 
  • Record data and document aspects of Engineered Special Products including maintaining the order data by following the established process.  
  • Travel to vendor or customer sites as needed (5% or less).

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and approach tasks with a sense of urgency.  
  • Attention to detail.  Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all areas involved.  
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse workforce with a highly developed sense of understanding.  
  • Displays strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications. 
  • Demonstrates product knowledge obtained through experiential hands-on training.    
  • Experience with SolidWorks, CAD and Enterprise Resource planning systems 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 

  • 2+ years engineering experience preferred
