Job Summary/Overview

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Process Specialist is responsible for managing the manufacturing bill of materials from engineering releases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit bills of material information from engineering for accuracy and completeness, specifically; BOM linkages, routings, and BOM item types.
  • Identify and determine BOM product structure routings and component level manufacturing required.
  • Monitor and follow through on incorrect routing corrective action requests (CAR).
  • Provide quick response on expedite routing needs so the team can reply to expedite requests from internal customers timely.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing process through accurate management and maintenance of routing and facility databases on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide immediate support to production issues related to Manufacturing BOM’s and routing structures used.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management, recognizing that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the company.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Understanding of technical drawings.
  • AutoCAD and Solidworks experience and ability.
  • Ability to work with and support production and engineering personnel.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in data management or other related field.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in ERP systems, creating, maintaining, and using BOMs.
