Job Summary/Overview

The Field Service Technician will assist with field installations, system upgrades, warranty fieldwork and preventative maintenance contract/visits. Some projects will require working with a third-party crew.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travels to customer locations to install, start-up, maintain, modify and troubleshoot.
  • Conducts all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and tasks per job order.
  • Troubleshoots errors or technical problems and determines proper resolutions and recommendations.
  • Determines replacement part requirements.
  • Prepares detailed trip reports that identifies issues, actions taken to resolve them and recommends next steps.
  • Assists in the preparation and execution of factory acceptance tests and completion of punch lists to achieve shipping approvals as needed.
  • Aids in the assembly, breakdown and crating of systems.
  • Assists field sales in account support.
  • Builds and maintains lasting relationships with existing accounts.

  • Demonstrates product knowledge obtained through experience and hands-on training.
  • Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems.  
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse workforce with a highly developed sense of understanding.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • A team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints and plant layout drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in field service with strong fundamentals in electrical and mechanical.
  • 6-month+ experience as an Assembly Technician to learn basic principles of CMCO technology and processes preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver license and ability to travel internationally.
