Receiving Clerk - 1st Shift

Job Summary/Overview

Manage the receipt of products, track and update shipment statuses, unload and stock deliveries, accurately record inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, safe and member-ready area.
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries, sorts and stocks receivables.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Provides additional backup support for shipping and inventory departments.
  • Completes daily inbound receiving of product and packages and notifies recipients accordingly.
  • Coordinates and provides support with employees and/or other departments to resolve shipping and packaging issues and matters.
  • Verifies parts received are going to correct job requirements by checking schedule communication board.
  • Follows up, monitors emails and other communication.
  • Performs and completes any other tasks/projects as assigned by manager.Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Ability to pull, pack, load, stock, and stack receivables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of time organization and safety
  • Understanding of basic/fundamental warehouse receiving procedures.
  • Experience and skill in UPS, Fed-Ex system.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to perform within a changing workload and/or priorities and meet order schedules with quality results.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment, and willingness to motivate and support others.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, ERP Infor Visual, etc.
  • Knowledge and training on forklift operation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
  • 1+ years of manufacturing warehouse experience.
  • 1+ years of related warehouse experience within the consistent areas of material handling, shipping, receiving, distribution, and/or operations.
