Job Summary/Overview

The Assembler, Electrification reviews shop orders, pulls the correct parts and materials, and assembles the parts to meet customer orders, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process work orders efficiently and timely utilizing the computer and ERP system.
  • Review and interpret drawings and work orders to select and pull appropriate parts for the order.
  • Obtain the correct tools needed for the job.
  • Perform all assembly operations timely, efficiently, and accurately according to departmental procedures and meeting customer specifications.
  • Perform Festoon System assembly as directed.
  • Label boxes and bag components accurately as required.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Ensure work responsibilities are completed daily working overtime, as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Create, complete and maintain any required computer transactions, paperwork and documents, etc. 
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.  Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and comprehend product specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to complete required paperwork, documentation, and records.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. 
  • Requires the ability to operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools, and wire cutters. 
  • Requires the ability to operate a computer and its job related software

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
