Job Summary/Overview

The Mechanical Assembler manages our ERP system to track progression of job work orders and inventory transactions. The Mechanical Assembler can also assemble and wire mechanical parts to produce the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages ERP system to track progression of job work orders and inventory transactions
  • Responsible for managing inventory levels and accurately entering data into ERP system
  • Review work orders to plan the most efficient method of production to minimize changeovers and maximize raw materials
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc
  • Complete quality inspections for co-workers as required
  • Complete and verify product checklists for all completed orders
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
  • Assemble and wire mechanical parts per work orders to produce the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements, if needed

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Requires the ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools, crimpers, meters, and soldering equipment
  • Computer skills: working in networked environment using a Windows and or Windows like interface using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word software programs
  • Time Management and Organization skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
