Job Summary/Overview

 

Responsible for providing support in the technical aspects of commercial activity, including: warranty claims administration, service centers certification/re-certification, direct communication with customers and channel partners on technical issues, support on spare parts selection and quotation, structuring, design, definition, revision and finalization of procedure manuals, support in the field for certified service centers and technicians in application of products and troubleshooting, specification of equipment and replacement parts, support to special applications and their specification to the Sales group. The objective of this position is to be the specialized technical support in applications of lifting hardware, hoists and cranes, linear motion, automation, light crane and conveyance systems, to distributors and sales team whose management is achieved the realization of projects in the field. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the engineering of integral solutions for the handling of materials and lifting of loads, automation, linear motion lifting hardware and light crane systems. Main responsibility for this position is to assist in the areas of Technical Sales, Operations, Service and Customer Retention, Engineering, Technology, Administration and Finance for the Company's development, and growth in the short, medium and long term.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous contact with engineering area in the different CMCO plants worldwide.

• Maintain current and updated certified service centers, procedures manuals, warranty claim, tech bulletins and Tech area KPI files with specifications, pricing, product specification and technical information inherent to CMCO's linear motion, conveyance, material handling and automation solutions.

• Acquire and distribute technical knowledge of product to the collaborators of the commercial area.

• Elaborate quotation of solutions and products for the sales area.

• Actively attend calls for activities with distributors, clients and internal staff of CMCO where their support and professional collaboration is required.

• Assist with the rest of the organization to achieve profitability and growth, through the fulfillment of sales budget (volume) and control of operating expenses, projecting an image of service and quality towards customers.

• Regularly visit clients and distributors in support of project closure and follow-up.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university (not mandatory).
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish. (70% minimum required English language).
  • Planning and communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills, word processing, spreadsheet and database.
  • Experience of working with staff in office and factory environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge in mechanics, electric and electronic engineering.
  • Proven Material handling skills.
