Job Summary/Overview

On-Site Service and repairs to lifting equipment. Installation and calibration of load limiting devices. (Scope Dependant) In House Strip and Quotes of lifting equipement. In house repairs of lifting equipement. (scope dependent). In house repairs of lifting equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

On-Site Service and repairs to all makes of Beams, electric overhead cranes,electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and leverblocks. Including Ancillary Equipment like Festoon Systems, Supply Systems, Safety Systems etc. (Scope Dependant). Installation and calibration of load limiting devices. (Scope Dependant) In House Strip and Quotes to electric overhead cranes, electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and lever blocks. Including Ancillary Equipment like Festoon Systems, Supply Systems, Safety Systems etc. (Scope Dependant). In house repairs of lifting equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

Be prepared to spend time travelling, being away from home every month. Work extended hours (overtime).  Must comply with all customer rules and fatal risk standards and address any safety critical issues immediately. Good Communication skills (verbal, written). Highly motivated, competent & energetic individual. 

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 minimum education.  
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in the field.
  • Complete knowledge of all competitors, and Yale Products Technical information.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Matric certificate, Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI).
