Job Summary/Overview

This role will support Configure-to-Order (CTO), Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations, as well as Commercial (Order-to-Cash) and Finance (Record-to-Report) processes.

The ideal candidate will play a key role during the ERP implementation phase currently underway with an external system integrator and transition into an ongoing ERP analyst/support role post-go-live.  They will ensure system stability, cross-functional integration, and continuous improvement of this core system to support the business.

The candidate needs the capacity to extend themselves into supporting other minor applications, as well as data integration and data management between systems, all centered on connectivity to Epicor. They will work with a small team but will also engage external services for larger development efforts, requiring them to manage those partners and successfully commission new capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ERP Implementation Project

  • Partner with external IT and Epicor consultants to support ERP implementation project
  • Partner with commercial, finance, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
  • Support configuration and deployment of Epicor modules:
    • Product Configurator
    •  Engineering Workbench
    • Job Management / Job Entry
    •  BOM/MOM (Bill of Materials / Methods of Manufacturing)
    • Project Management (ETO)
    • Supply Chain (Purchasing, Inventory, MRP, Shipping/Receiving)
    • Commercial (Quoting, Order Management, Customer Management)
    •  Finance (GL, AP, AR, Costing, Fixed Assets)
  • Assist in the design and implementation of solutions for:
    • CTO product configuration and quoting workflows
    • ETO project-based engineering and manufacturing
    •  End-to-end supply chain processes (planning, procurement, fulfillment)
    •  Order-to-Cash processes (quote → order → shipment → invoicing → cash application)
    •  Record-to-Report processes (financial close, costing, and reporting)
  • Support data migration, including:
    •  BOMs, part master, and engineering data
    •  Supplier and purchasing data
    • Customer, pricing, and order data
    • Financial master data (chart of accounts, open AR/AP, balances)
  • Configure Epicor using BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, and financial/operational reports
  • Assist with system integrations (CAD/PLM, CPQ, EDI, banking, tax engines, etc.)
  • Participate in testing cycles (unit, system, UAT), validating end-to-end scenarios:
    • Quote → Order → Engineering → Procurement → Production → Shipment → Invoicing → Financial close
  • Support go-live planning and execution, including cross-functional issue resolution and user readiness

Post-Implementation / ERP Analyst Support

  • Serve as a primary ERP analyst and support resources across:
    •  Commercial (sales, customer service, order management)
    • Finance (accounting, costing, financial reporting)
    •  Engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across order processing, production, and financial transactions
  • Monitor and optimize:
    • MRP, planning, and inventory performance
    • Order management and fulfillment workflows
    •  Financial processes including invoicing, revenue recognition, and close cycles
    • Job costing, WIP, and margin analysis
  • Maintain and enhance:
    • Product configurations and pricing logic
    • BOMs, routings, and engineering revisions
    •  Financial structures (GL, cost accounting, reporting hierarchies)
    • System workflows, BPMs, BAQs, and dashboards
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring data integrity and system accuracy
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across commercial, operational, and financial processes
  • Manage system changes and enhancements, including testing and deployment
  • Provide end-user training and documentation across departments
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors on upgrades, patches, integrations, and performance tuning

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Ability to support end-to-end ERP processes from quote through financial close
  • Strong understanding of how CTO/ETO complexity impacts supply chain, order management, and financials
  • Proactive ownership of system performance, data integrity, and user adoption
  • Effective collaboration across commercial, finance, engineering, operations, and IT teams
  • Ability to balance day-to-day support with strategic system enhancements and optimization

Required Qualifications

  • Experience integrating Epicor with CAD/PLM systems (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk)
  • Familiarity with EDI, banking integrations, or tax engines
  • Experience with CPQ tools in a CTO environment
  • Knowledge of Epicor Kinetic cloud deployments
  • Working knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and integrations
  • Industry experience in:
    •  Industrial or capital equipment
    •  Custom or engineered products manufacturing

Epicor certifications or full-cycle implementation experience
