Job Summary/Overview

Customer and Sales Support: Assist customers and sales staff with collections and deliveries as planned and scheduled by Processing Managers.

Ensure all tasks are completed safely, responsibly, and within customer deadlines.
Safe Driving Practices: Promote and enforce safe driving practices and you ensure you adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies to prevent accidents and ensure timely deliveries.
Responsible for driving trucks or other delivery vehicles to transport cargo over short and long distances. Your role involves loading and unloading goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collect and Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes. Follow route and time schedule. Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle. Complete logs and reports. Follow road regulations and safety standards. Responsible for neatness / cleanliness of company delivery vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

Work extended hours and weekends - overtime. 

Must comply with all customer rules and fatal risk standards and address any safety critical issues immediately.

Good Communication skills (verbal, written). 

Must complete Induction and Medical exams at various customers.

Highly motivated, competent & energetic individual.

Communication: Verbal and written communication with Supervisors or Managers.
Accuracy and Precision: Ensure correct and accurate movement of stock.
Damage Reporting: Report damaged stock immediately.
Delivery Management: Ensure that delivery dates are met.
CRM System: Proficient in using CRM systems.
RFDIGI: Experienced in using RFDIGI.
Lifting Connect Asset Management System: Skilled in using Lifting Connect Asset Management System.

Required Qualifications

Grade 12 minimum education.

A valid Code 10 and Public Drivers License (PDP).

Matric certificate.

Experience: 5 years in the field.
Forklift License.
First Aid Certification: Basic first aid and CPR certification.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools.
Customer Service Experience: Experience in customer service or client-facing roles.

Work Requirements

Delay and Delivery Reporting: Report any delays or unsuccessful deliveries to your manager promptly.
Safe Driving: Drive responsibly and always adhere to all road safety and company rules.
Remain alert and attentive while driving, staying focused on the road and surroundings to avoid accidents, hazards, and collisions.
Log-Sheet Accuracy: Ensure that log-sheets are accurately completed and the correct sheets are used.
Vehicle Maintenance: Keep vehicles clean and neat at all times, and ensure their roadworthiness.
Responsible and Manages some Long-Distance deliveries and collections around Thabazimbi Area and the Welkom Area.
Responsible for deliveries around Rustenburg, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Carletonville Areas.
Also Responsible for collecting Manufacturing / Engineering Items.

Ensuring that the receipt document is completed for all collected Manufacturing items on LiftingConnect before delivering to the Subcontractor.
Collaboration: Liaise closely with sales representatives and the Processing Manager to assess potential shortfalls and address any delivery or collection issues.
Flexibility: Work additional hours as required to meet delivery deadlines.
Compliance: Comply with all customer rules and fatal risk standards, addressing any safety-critical issues immediately.
Ensure loads are securely strapped before driving
Do deliveries and collections as planned by Processing Manager.
