Job Summary/Overview

Strategic function – sales and project related work (railways, mining, lifting, industrial)

- Sales Performance – Meet or exceed Monthly Sales Targets

- Develop and Maintain a Strong Customer Database

- Consultation and Design

- Service Delivery

- Customer focus and maintain the customer relationship

- Tender and Quotes

- ISO Compliance and Quality Assurance

- Valid Driver’s Licence

- Valid Medicals

- Computer Literate

- PLC & Fault Finding

- Face to face liaison with customers and suppliers

- Extensive travel to & from customer sites (South Africa & Africa)

- Technical work to be performed at customer sites

- Engineering repairs & maintenance

- Product service and maintenance

- Product applications on lifting equipment will be added advantage

  • Must have general knowledge of machining and milling process
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, quick fault finding on PLC and Micro link Systems, Variable speed drives and overhead cranes
  • Able to assist with identifying electrical components for the sales team to understand and prepare quotes
  • Product applications on lifting equipment will be added advantage
  • Exceptional knowledge on fault finding on lifting equipment
  • Mechanical and electrical minded
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics systems
  • Exceptional knowledge in the strip and repair of gearboxes, mechanical and
  • Electro linear actuators and general repairs in a workshop environment
  • Read & Sign off Electrical and Hydraulic drawings 
  • Good knowledge of electric hoists and manufactured equipment under the hook

Required Qualifications

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering degree, including CAD drawings/GA drawings with minimum of 10 years’ sales and engineering experience.
