Job Summary/Overview

The Financial Controller at CMCO Hungary undertakes all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Financial Controller is the main contact to the tax authority in Hungary and also to other governmental offices in finance related topics.  The position reports to the Regional Controller and has 2 direct reports: A Financial Assistant and an Accountant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of established weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Preparation and analyzation of financial reports (annual, quarterly, monthly).
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts (P/L, Working Capital, CAPEX)
  • Preparation of presentations and ad-hoc analyses for the EMEA Management
  • Analyzation of actual financial results, identification of variances, and investigation
  • Leading the year-end statutory audit process, preparation and reconciliation of the required analytical data and main contact for the auditor.
  • Manage and comply with local and state government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Cost Controlling, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition. Managing bank transfers
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal / external controls
  • Leading and supervising a team of two: Financial Assistant, Accountant

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and tax principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements and month-end/year end close process
  • Strong Controlling knowledge with focus on plant controlling and contribution analysis
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, preferably: SERPA, SAP
  • Advanced level in English language
