Job Summary/Overview

The Developer, Web Applications is responsible for translating design concepts into functional and visually appealing interfaces. This role involves working closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that web applications and websites are user-friendly, efficient, and meet business requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop functional CPQ tools from specifications and conceptual phases. 
  • Convert UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into high-quality, responsive code.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs.
  • Develop and maintain front-end components using the product configurator software: Driveworks.  
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement responsive designs to ensure compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure consistent functionality and appearance.
  • Work closely with UI designers to bring mockups to life.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end functionality.
  • Perform thorough testing of user interfaces to identify and fix bugs.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve the user experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in UI development.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing user interfaces.
  • Create and maintain documentation for front-end code and user interface components.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Dorner product, conveyor application and product pricing knowledge through experience or hands-on training. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in written materials. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in CPQ system tools and technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, Design, or a related field preferred. 
  • 1+ year of experience as a UI Developer or similar role.
  • Experience with Driveworks preferred. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
