Job Summary/Overview

Responsible for managing tender processes, overseeing techno-commercial bid documentation, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring successful participation in rail and metro projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor upcoming Machine & Plant (M&P) tenders and take timely action.
  • Analyze competitor data, including techno-commercial aspects.
  • Prepare questionnaires for pre-bid meetings and attend them when needed.
  • Deliver presentations and engage in negotiations when required.
  • Request extensions or clarifications from the depot team when necessary.
  • Compile, review, and organize tender documents, addendums, and corrigenda.
  • Identify and shortlist potential sub-suppliers for M&P items.
  • Conduct cost analysis to determine suitable sub-suppliers for tenders.
  • Review cost structures and critically assess profit margins.
  • Prepare legal, technical, and commercial bid documentation accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with tender terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with project and service teams to finalize cost and margin calculations.
  • Develop expertise in handling government tender platforms such as IREPS and GEM.
  • Oversee bid preparation and ensure timely submission.
  • Stay prepared for reverse auctions when applicable.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis to refine future bidding strategies.
  • Coordinate contract registration and processing efficiently.
  • Support project and service teams with necessary techno-commercial documentation.
  • Obtain approvals for travel and visits, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Maintain industry awareness and collaborate across departments to enhance bidding strategies.

  • Strong understanding of tender management and government bidding processes.
  • Analytical mindset for cost evaluation and competitor analysis.
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in government tender platforms like IREPS and GEM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interdepartmental coordination.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in project sales, tender management, or techno-commercial roles.
  • Ability to independently manage bidding processes and strategic decision-making.
